Featherlite™ Co-57 Flood Sources

Featherlite™ floods weigh up to 50% less than floods of comparable size. A conventional 18” X 25” flood weighs between 7 and 8 lbs. In contrast, the Featherlite™ version weighs about 3 lbs. Less weight means less strain to the back and greater maneuverability.

Though lighter, Featherlite™ is durable. The active element of most flood sources is made of a solid resin. If the flood is dropped it can crack, making it useless. The active element in Featherlite™ floods, made using a proprietary technique, is virtually unbreakable.

Featherlite™ floods are carefully measured for activity, and analyzed to ensure a homogeneous distribution with a coefficient of variation of less than 1%. The amount of Co-56 and Co-58 contained in each flood source, at shipment, is less than 0.1%. Featherlite™ floods are shipped with a technical report that highlights the specifications of the flood source.

Featherlite Flood Source

Each new Featherlite™ Flood Source is supplied with a fully shielded lead-lined storage case. Featherlite™ floods are available in a wide array of configurations and activity levels for use on virtually every gamma camera in use today.

One expired source may be returned at no additional charge when a similar product is purchased. Additional sources may be returned for a nominal fee.
